CourtBoard

Privacy policy

Last updated 24 August 2026

CourtBoard is case-diary software for law offices in Gujarat. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and how to get it deleted. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

Who is responsible for what

Each law office that signs up decides what client and case information it puts into CourtBoard. That office is the data fiduciary for its own clients' information. CourtBoard operates the software and stores that information on the office's behalf as a data processor. We do not decide what an office records about its cases, and we do not use it for our own purposes.

What the app collects

The camera and photo-library permissions are used only when you choose to attach a document to a case. Nothing is captured in the background.

What the app does not do

Where it is stored

Information is held in Google Firebase data centres in Mumbai, India (asia-south1), encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted by office: staff of one office can never read another office's data, and this is enforced on the server, not merely hidden in the app.

Payments

Subscription payments are processed by Google Play or the App Store, depending on where you installed the app. Card and UPI details are entered on the store's own systems and are never seen or stored by CourtBoard, and the store does not pass them to us. We keep only the subscription's tier, status and renewal date, together with the store's own order identifier so a payment can be traced if you query it.

How long it is kept

Case information is kept for as long as the office keeps its account, because a case diary is a record an office may need years later. When an account is deleted, deletion follows immediately as described below.

If a subscription ends and the account is left in place, everything is kept for a further twelve months, so an office that comes back finds its diary exactly as it left it. After twelve months the office's cases, hearings, clients, documents and uploaded files are deleted permanently. We warn the owner twice before that happens — thirty days and seven days beforehand — and subscribing again at any point stops the deletion.

Your rights, and how to use them

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask for access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal information.

Children

CourtBoard is a professional tool for legal practices and is not directed at anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the app will show a notice before the change takes effect.
